I do not think this is acceptable. I need to access the voice mail to change greetings and listen to voice mail from time to time. I also travel outside the states quite often, so I need to use Vonage line to change these greetings so there is no international call.

If this is the quality Vonage claims, I strongly urge any potential new users stay away from Vonage.

Well I don't what to tell you about that, at least you have your Vonage up and running.

Myself I usually don't use the phone to check the voice mail because of all the buttons you need to press just to get the messages.

You can talk your adapter with you or even use Vonage Talk to change your messages and check your voice mail.

"You can talk your adapter with you or even use Vonage Talk to change your messages and check your voice mail." What are you talking about? Can I do this outside the country?

I meant to write. you can take your Vonage adapter with you when you travel. All you need is internet connection.

With Vonage Talk you can make all the calls you want, just need internet connection and a headset and microphone.

You know, this is like the 5th or 6th time you have said crap like this in this topic. Why don't you take your own advice, cancel Vonage and move on.

I'm wondering if the problem is with his phone. I had a phone that the 3 wouldn't work on automated phone systems. I could call a phone number that included a 3 but on automated phone systems, every time I would press 3, the automated operator would tell me they could read my response, try again.

Maybe he should try a different phone.

I would bet you a dollar to a dozen Dunkin Donuts that the problem is the ------> Belkin router. Junk. They make GREAT iPod accessories but their networking gear is JUNK.

Of course, he/she won't try a top shelf router. That might work and then what on earth would he/she have to **** about then?

You are a very fortunate person to never have had to contact tech support.
I have had to contact tech support for my local telephone company 2x in the 6 months I have had them, not even going to mention the amount of times either I or my wife have had to call support for my HighSpeed. So far my cell phone hasn't been too bad when you consider the length of time I've had them. But so far I've called Vonage support 2x in a year and that was for suggestions. I installed with no problem and only lost service once and a Power Cycle resolved the issue.
But like I said consider yourself lucky that you have never had to contact tech support..
