I guess I've been lucky so far. I have three Voip lines at home, two from Vonage and one from CallVantage. I have 3 Voip routers all plugged into a switch which in turn is plugged into a DLink DIR655 (awesome router, btw). I've called support twice on separate issues dealing with voice mail and activation. My experience on both ocassions with support was very good. They resolved both issues within a few minutes. They even called me back to ensure the voice mail issue had been resolved.
Before I used to have a cheapo router and had all sorts of problems with call quality, despite having a really good internet connection (12mbps/2mbps). I decided to buy a DIR655 based on the reviews and the QoS engine which is similar to the Hawkings box so many people rave about. Ever since plugging in this new router, all of my call quality issues went away. Besides these three devices, there are 5 pc's in use all the time, two gaming consoles, and a variety of wireless devices all competing for bandwith. The router gives the Voip devices priority and all is well.
I recommend you try to re-do your network setup and use a strong router as the centerpiece. Try the DIR655... if it doesn't solve your problems, you can always take it back. |

The first posting in this thread criticized Vonage Service.
I have been using Vonage for over a year now for my business, and although I have a few complaints, I have been generally happy with the service. I use the Simulring to my cell phone, and I now have my voice messages sent to my cell phone as .wav file attachments so I can hear them on the cell. I do wish I could download a list of all my phone calls to an Excel file, and there are a few otehr features I would like, but so far things have worked out well for me and I would recommend Vonage to anyone. |

Cargojack -
One of the members of this forum created an app quite some time ago that will allow you to download call data into Excel, and it works very nicely. A number of users on here use it, me included.
You can download the app at http://vonage.otabi.com/
You can find one of the early discussions of the app here http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic3979.html+download |
