LOTS of companies have top notch customer service. I've had a couple dealings with Time-Warner lately (GASP!) and THEY seem to have their act together.

The only people apologizing for poor Vonage customer service should be Vonage itself.

And to think that it is acceptable to have poor customer service at all. Maybe there should be a rating system of these companies and they could try to out do one another for horrible customer service. I dropped AT&T Long distance and it was a nightmare. I ended up calling my states attorney general over that.

As for the security deposit on the phone adapter, I would have been fine with that IF the customer service rep hadn't pulled money out of my account before telling me of such. That is just not acceptable and I still am mad as h*ll about it.

I am using Time Warner digital phone right now. I am considering moving to Vonage because I need two phone lines, which TW doesnt have. I just called Vonage to ask them a question and the woman in Customer Service was awful. I tried another Voip company, USADatanet, in the past and their service was horrible. I am reluctant to go to Vonage if service is not good. Phone service is too important.

But I do need another phone line, so I may just go to Verizon and get one wired up.

BTW, my technical question was whether I could connect the Vonage phone adapter into my Time Warner cablemodem, which has a phone jack built-in. Perhaps I could get two lines this way. Not sure I should take the time to find out.

Yes, via a router. No, not directly to the modem.

I have Vonage, I don't care how bad AT&T or anyone else is and this is Vonage related forum so this is where complaints about Vonage CS will show up. It's lame to tell a poster here about how bad other companies CS is. We want to get across the fact that Vonage needs to makes their's better.
