I think that we should keep calling their support, till they do something about it or we get fed up and cancel. |

Our line is working fine this morning. Hopefully they fixed their server issue.
PS We are also in the 760 area. |

You got lucky then, still having the same problem here. I was on with support last night, they couldn't help. Calling again this morning, hopefully I'll get a better support person (laughs out loud at own statement). |

Wow, finally got a pretty knowledgeable and proficiently-english speaking person on the support line. They changed my "Listening Ports" and that seems to have fixed the problem for the time being, I'll post back if the issue returns. |

Problem is still presenting itself here. But I am going out of town till thursday and will be forwarding calls to the cell phone until I get back, so It's a non-issue for the next few days for me. I hope they get their act straight soon, though. |

Sure sounds like a problem with one/some of Vonage's gateways to/from the pstn.

I was treated to a lovely 8:30am wakeup call from our friends at Vonage this morning, testing my line. I'm actually a little stunned by the ludicrous nature of Vonage at this point, I never thought they would be THIS bad. I guess you get what you pay for. |

I'm having the same trouble, located in north San Diego county, using a Vonage line with a 619 area code.
Surprisingly, I called Vonage and the first person I spoke to was a 2nd tier tech support person, rather than the front line folks in Asia. Whether coincidence or not, testing with him showed that everything seemed to work fine if I put the Vonage adapter (Motorola VT1005) in front of my router (Linksys WRT54G). My router configuration hasn't changed in months, but this problem cropped up in the last couple of hours.
Given the other complaints here, I still don't think it's a problem on my end, but given that two rounds of testing showed that calls worked fine with the Vonage adapter in front of the router, it wasn't going to be easy to convince the tech support representative that my router wasn't to blame.
I guess I'll leave the adapter in front of the router for the time being and try switching it back tomorrow or Thursday, or will see about complaining to Vonage again if the problem persists with the router out of the picture. |
