There's nothing obvious that can be discerned from those results, your test results are close to perfect. I don't recognize that Vonage adapter. Did you mean WRTP54G? I would first suggest moving your phone line to the second phone port to see if that may solve your problem. If that doesn't solve your problem, I would then look at your cable modem. Have you noticed any drops with your cable modem and internet connection? What exact model number is your cable modem and how long has it been in service? |

Pauses while downloading means it is almost certainly a problem with your internet connection. Pauses downloading the voice packets from Vonage would cause intermittent dropped audio.
You're at least the third person in New York on Earthlink to report the exact same problem recently. See the thread entitled "Dropped audio-totally stumped". That's one VERY odd coincidence.... or some larger problem with Earthlink in New York. |

I just tried it on my WRTP54G, running the "new" 5.01.04 firmware, and "user"/"tivonpw" doesn't work for syslogd. I did see a LOT more options on what to log, though - it used to just prompt for an IP address and nothing more.
Sadly, it also doesn't appear to work for the upgrade any more, either. So I guess my self-help guide on upgrading/downgrading firmware manually is rather useless until and unless the new password is released. |
QoS is also gone (in RTP300)

QoS was never really there. They had the screens for it, sure, but as far as it actually WORKING, forget about it! I have a WRTP54G, and never had ANY success making the QoS engine do anything at all.
More detailed explanation of why: http://vonage.nmhoy.net/qos.html |

Is your modem conected by usb or ethernet? Ethernet would be the preferred connection. Being that you have an older model RCA cable modem, you might want to consider purchasing a new modem (that may solve your problem) in the interim until TW checks your connections. Drops like you're experiencing are usually associated with an outdated or malfunctioning cable modem if it's not a line issue. |

I also have the drop in incoming voice, question for you guys, do you have Time Warner Cable? There is currently a problem with the network, where we get lots of lag spikes. This isn't just for vonage, but also online games. |
