linksys wrtp54g worked before now no phone light/dial tone

OK- I have had Vonage for 2+ years using the same device with no problems. I was away for 2 months returned home and plugged my Vonage back in with the same connections I have always used. No dial tone, no light. I went back through all of the posted troubleshooting. Still doesn't work. I tried to switch the line from 1 to 2 as suggested in a different post. When I submit I get an error message/ try again later.

I am in Malaysia. If my system (linksys wrtp54g) is not working i.e. needs replacing, 1) how can I tell it is kaput and 2) Is is possible to buy a Voip adapter here that will work with Vonage or do they have to be preconfigured for Vonage use?

?? Submit what? Do you have internet service with your Vonage unit in place? If not, do you get service by removing it?

HELP!!

It can always help to test the Vonage box using someone else's internet connection. If it won't work anywhere, chances are good that it has a problem.

The adapters do have to be configured for use with Vonage.
