I have a Nokia E90 and was very happy to see this information! I configured the Nokia and tried to make a Voip call but I am just getting a "Registration Failed". Has anybody had luck with this setup? |

Sorry for the change; it appears that the SIP client in the N series is a different ver (maybe). This config should work on either; if you get a registration failed then check your username and password on the Vonage website. Make sure you have a working access point (WiFi or GPRS) before you try to register the connection.

Thanks LANRover.... I rechecked my settings information for the softphone as sent by Vonage and noticed that they referenced port 5061. I changed both the port numbers to 5061 and noticed the I was now getting a "Registered" message. When I tried to call somebody though the E90 would act as if the call is going through but the other phone just would not ring...
Based on your second post I played around a bit... I changed the Transport Type to UDP and all port numbers to 5060. It refreshed the screen and showed as "Registered". I called myself on the other land line and suddenly it worked. I played around with the port settings and swapped between 5060 and 5061 and it always worked. I changed the Transport Type back to auto and everything failed.
So I think it is important to point out that the Transport Type has to be UDP under the Registrar Server.
Thanks for the trouble. |

Thanks for the proffered solutions but when I tried the 2 sets of steps, my E90 communicator still didn't register. |

Any update on this thread - Followed all the recommendations above, phone states that I am registered. I for one being new at this can't seem to figure out how to place a SIP call from my E90, two, I tried to call my phone using my SIP number and the phone just freezes up -
Any recommendation greatly appreciated -
