My service has not worked since June 22, 2007. Vonage has sent me two new modems and run a bazillion tests. When making or receiving a call, within 2 or 3 minutes I lose incoming audio completely. Any new calls made or received still have no incoming audio. If I power off the modem and turn it back on, I get incoming audio again for the 2 to 3 minute range and then back again to square one. Vonage headquarters has been on it intermittently, but with no positive results. I have Verizon DSL and no changes were made prior to the loss of service. Verizon did send me a new modem, but the end results were the same. HELP PLEASE...Steve

You have two wireless components? Try disabling the wireless function in one of them. Also, if you're using a 2.4 GHz cordless phone, set it aside for a bit and run your tests with a simple corded phone.

I have brought my Vonage unit to another DSL source and I get the same result... loss of incoming audio after a minute or two. Vonage does not seem to be able to fix the issue. Note: this is my third Vonage device and all three have the same issue

At first guess, I'd say your DSL connection isn't consistent enough for Voip. Qos of 43% tells me that there is a lot of variance, a measured max download pause of over 1/4 second tells me that within the short period of the test you already had a pretty serious delay, and a 6% packet loss, while not usually fatal, can easily become so if the data varies enough to get a low Qos score like that.

I think this is a Verizon issue, personally, and it may be at the trunk (which means you and the other DSL connection may have the same issue). Do you know anyone with Cable Internet, to bypass Verizon completely in your tests?
