I am installing a new VOIP network (phones, routers, etc...) by Cisco routers 2800 series to our office. My question is:
How do I integrate Vonage to program the system to use the Vonage line when X area code is dialed. For exaple if I want all 011-xxxx calls to be routed to used the Vonage services instead of my local T1 lines.
Any ideas?

Assuming you are just plugging a Vonage adapter into your Cisco setup via something like an FX card, you would do this by simply setting up a custom dial plan on the Cisco. I have done this before on an Asterix box but I have never used a Cisco VoIP system before so I can't really give you specifics. I think the specifics of this would be more of a questions for a Cisco forum or mailing list, you would get better responses there on how to make the dial plan do what you want. |

Thank you for your response. That was my first thought, however, I do not want to plug an analog FX line to an FX port on the cisco. I would like to acomplish the dial plan with the network parameters of Vonage. Is this posible. Can I get the Vonage service without the box. |

You can probably do this via a softphone account, however the softphone account is an addon of $10.00 a month, only has 500 minutes, and doesn't have the free calling to Europe that your primary line would. I don't remember the specific SIP info for the softphone but it has been posted around here quite a few times recently and I am sure you could dig it up. |
