I know Vonage is having voicemail issues. Their web page only reports a specific issue with message waiting and inability to retreive messages via the web.
Here are some other issues I am dealing with. Have any other users noticed these problems?
- Callers leaving a message hear a message that the mailbox is almost full and that they only have ten seconds to leave a message, even though the mailbox is empty.
- VMI light comes on, but when accessed, voicemail says "No New Messages". Messages are sometimes visible on the website, if it's working. Hours later, the messages are accessible via the phone. (I think this is the issue that Vonage is notifying everyone of on the dashboard)
- Mailbox cannot be accessed via telephone from time to time, since the system claims the mailbox is "In Use". This goes on for hours.
Any others? Please post your experiences here. |

For some reason I have to dial *123 my mailbox number (phone number) and then the passcode from my HOME phone.
No answer from Vonage for the past 10 + days |

I was having the problem with people leaving a message, the VMI light and stutter dialtone would come one, and then when I'd check it would say there was no message...then the message would be there an hour or two later. I was also sometimes having a problem where messages would go directly into the deleted messages "bin" before I had even listened to them! I e-mailed tech support about it last week and just got a reply back today saying that they had finished working on the voicemail system, and that everything should be OK now. I haven't noticed any problems with my voicemail the last 2 or 3 days. |

For my issue, Vonage did get back to me.
I had to input my mailbox number (complete phone number) in to get voicemail from my home phone number.
The tech had me dial into voicemail, enter 9, then enter 9 again. This turned off the requirement to input my mailbox number when checking vm from home number.
I did not turn that "feature" on.
