I've been a Vonage user for several years now and have had nearly no problems. I have just recently starting having some bizarre problems. The phone rings... I answer it, I hear sound in the background, no one talks, then hangs up. As I put the telephone down, I see I have voicemail. This has happened about 5 times in the past week. I have a PAP2 as my phone adapter. I have a nearly perfect Internet connection with bi-directional 20Mbps bandwidth. As I've mentioned, this is new after several years of service. Has anything changed on the side of Vonage? Anyone else have a similar issue?
I, personally, have never experienced anything like this before. Sounds like an issue tech support will have to resolve for you if it's not the PAP2 itself.
try switching phone ports..disable your voicemail thru your online acct. and check if there is still the problem..if not,..there is a problem in your voicemail feature..tech support can help you with that..they might change your number
