Oh, yeah, I keep forgetting - the VT2142 is a single-port router. Never mind. LOL.
Yeah, if you are getting echoing, it may be the BEFSR41, it is a rather long-in-the-tooth router. Another option, of course, is to replace it with something more powerful that already has a switch (thereby eliminating the BEFSR41 altogether). The Linksys WRT54GL works really well, but that's $60 you may not need to spend.
If you can make the VT2142 work as your router, and get the BEFSR41 running as a dumb switch behind it, that will probably work OK for you. |
