Post subject: SSH and Port FW Issues on a VT2542
I was having issues with my Linksys WRTP54G and
Vonage
could not figure it out. So they sent me a new VT2542. I just hooked it all up yesterday and I am having the "Not Saving" issue like everyone else.
However I am also having issues with SSH and Port Forwarding. Is anyone else seeing the same issues.
SSH - I open an SSH session to the device and use my login and password to login to the GUI and it tells me the password is not correct. Is there a separate place to put the SSH password. I verifyed it is correct by loging into the GUI.
Port Forwarding - This one is weird. I have a webserver behind the router so I used the built-in application forward for "WebServer" which I see is HTTP(80) and HHTPS(443) point to the internal IP of the server. When I try to access it I get page not found. If I remove that and setup a custom port forwarding entry it works ok.
These both baffle me, and I never had any problem with the Linksys.
Any suggestions....
