Phone book listing

I've moved since I signed up for Vonage, but AT&T (who publish my local phone book) still have my old address. They tell me to inform my local phone provider of the error. Vonage has had my new address for a year now, so telling them again probably won't make a difference.

Any suggestions on how to get the information updated in the local phone book?

Vonage doesn't put their numbers in the phone book. Once your new phone book comes out your number won't be in there anymore.

So I'll be unlisted, whether I want to be or not? That's a little disappointing.

that is in the terms of service article 2.14

"No directory listing. The phone numbers you obtain from us will not be listed in any telephone directories. Phone numbers transferred from your local phone company may, however, be listed. As a result, someone with your phone number may not be able to utilize a reverse directory to look up your address."

You can always submit your own information to a directory listing service such as http://www.listyourself.net/

ListYourself will provide your information to 411 providers, however, it would not be in print directories. To get in the print directories, you would need to contact the publisher (generally, the local phone company).

i have had Vonage for a year and a half now and just received my new phone book last week .. to my surprise I was still listed..
