I know, it is probably fruitless judging by other posts on HughesNet. But I am setting up a Vonage Mdl VT2142-VD modem with wireless router and HughesNet. Vonage's Quick Start kit shows how to connect to (1) a cable modem, or (2) a cable modem and router. I have a wireless router communicating with a HughesNet modem in a mechanical closet. 1. How do I connect the VT2142-VD to the router? Similar to the cable modem and router option in Quick Start book? 2. After connecting the VT2142-VD somehow to the wireless router, can I then connect the VT2142-VD to a wall telephone jack and have other phones work on Vonage also?

No I have cable internet. It should work the same. Make sure you check the Voip speed test (under Vonage information - upper left menu). It will check your upload and download speeds and other info to make sure your signal strength is good enough.
