When My phone does work, I get multiple beeps 5 or more before I finally get a dialtone. My wife is complaining that this results in misdialed phonenumbers if sehe starts dialing before the dialtone appears.
Is this normal and is there anything I can do about it. I don't think is was always like this but everyone is sensitized due to unrelated network problems.
I think I have the network issues behind me but it could still be an issue.

That's a stutter tone. It indicates that you have phone mail on the Vonage phone mail system. Accessing the phone mail should clear it. To keep it from happening again, log on to your account and disable phone mail. |

Thanks for the quick response. It is good to know that it is normal. As I said, with the network problems I have been having, everyone, including myself , was blaiming that.
