Darrell_G,

I have the same issue as you with the LAN info populating on the page - taking a very long time. As a matter of fact.. every time this issue happens it's when I make a change to this LAN page.

I never had trouble with the LAN info populating; my lan configuration page always came up instantly. What I "did" have trouble with was the resetting back to factory defaults if the device loss power or was manually rebooted, this was due to firmware version 11.4.1-r070201-1.3.2 -r1. I contacted tech support and had them put firmware version 11.4.1-r061026-1.3.0 -r5 back on my VT2542 and I no longer have the issue with the loss of settings after a loss of power or manual reboot of the device.

I would suggest to you if you currently have firmware version 11.4.1-r070201-1.3.2 -r1, have Vonage tech support flash the firmware back to 11.4.1-r061026-1.3.0 -r5 and that should solve your problem.

I have had my device reset to 100% factory settings twice now. It happens to me when I make a change to the router and (I) manually tell it to restart. Just pulling the power doesn't make it happen. Yesterday I wanted to turn the DHCP server off on the device so I could use another device on the network to provide more flexible DHCP services. I simply turned the DHCP server off. I wanted to restart the router to make sure the setting stuck. I couldn't connect to the device and ended up having to go back to the default IP and user name to get back into it.

So yes, they must have some kind of bug. I have opened a ticket with Vonage and pointed them to this thread to show it's more than just me. I would bet there is some firmware issue they need to fix.

Don't hold your breath. I opended a ticked on the 17th of July after two months of problems on this same matter.

I use a custom lan address (10. addresses)
I also have the DHCP server disabled, as I use a different dhcp server.

strange thing tho, yesterday my power went off for 15 minutes, and when it came back up, it didn't reset.. I checked the firmware, and it's still 11.4.1-r070201-1.3.2 -r1

The last time the router lost config, I reloaded it from a saved config file. since then, it seems it hasn't lost it's config again...
something you guys might give a try....

one of the 'known issues' for the motorola 2542 is that 'customer may lose all router settings during a reboot of the device'

Just on a hunch, which browser are you using when you access the router's administration page? By any chance are you using Mozilla ? There was a similar problem with the D-link VWR - users of the device were pulling their hair out wondering why they continually lost the settings. The problem was the firmware - the simple fix was making sure you were on the most recent firmware and using Internet Explorer exclusively to access the web gui. Wonder if this might be similar.

So beside the reseting issue how do you all like this router. I have the old RTP and want to change and was thinking of getting this one.
