Hi
I have just purchased a set of BT Synergy 4100 phones which have the capability to send and receive SMS text messages from the handsets.
I think the pre-programmed service centre number (1709400) may be only directly accessible from a BT line (which I don't have) as I just receive the message "not sent" if I try to use it.
Does anybody know of another service that is usable over Vonage?
Many thanks |

I also have the SMS text service on my cordless phone, but again the Vonage network does not recognise P14701709400. This is only for the BT network. Vonage don;t seem to be able to help with this when I asked them. |

Thanks skin06. I m sure there are other options open to us. I'll have to do some more research and post back. |

You might also want to consider that their are many sites out there where you can submit a free SMS cell phone message. Some sites work better for International Users than others (Non-US). Some of them require you to know the carrier of the person you want to text as well. Here is a link to a compiled list of some of the more popular ones to date: Compiled SMS Text Link.
Good luck, |

What I'd like to see is Vonage being able to capture SMS messages to my landline (before they get turned in spoken word with Tom Baker) and sent via email to me instead! |
