Post subject: Can I "backfeed" into my old POTS wiring?
Hi -- Anyone know if I can "backfeed" into my POTS wiring in my house by putting the phone plug from the Vonage unit back into the house phone wall jack, thus allowing me to plug another phone in downstairs and use Vonage service?? Thanks.

This is how I used my existing POTS (Blueyonder/Virgin) house wiring/extension sockets on Vonage:
Just remove the old incoming POTS line (A&B wires) where it connects to the house internal wiring ( at Main socket).
Then take the phone output from the Vonage router to any one of your existing extension sockets. All house extension sockets can then be used as normal (on Vonage).
Should you ever need to return to POTS then its easy to disconnect the Vonage router and reconnect the incoming POTS line.
