hello everyone- just ordered Vonage, should be here this afternoon. one thing i am confused about which isn't blatantly said on their website, nor did i hear from the customer service rep-
are calls to cell phones in the US free? and are incoming calls FROM cell phones in the US free (to me)??
If it's not free, i don't know if i'll go past my free month. Please answer...thank you very much. Broke girl needs an answer to save money lol |

you didnt say which plan you are in, but anyway incoming calls are free no matter if its from cell phone or not. calls TO cell phones are also free unless you are in the basic 500 minutes plan where any outgoing calls will eat the minutes |

To avoid confusing some people, it should be noted that calls TO cell phones IN THE US are free. Skyyone3 didn't say what country she is in, but it is common for the CALLER to be charged when calling cell phones in many other countries (whether they use Vonage, a local phone service, or whatever), which could be the reason for her question.
But, like kannan says -- calls to US cell phone customers do not cost the CALLER anything other than regular toll charges, which, with Vonage, is nothing on the unlimited plan, or however minutes you use if you are on a metered (500 minute) plan. |

Calls to Canadian and American cell phones are free, but will be used against you if you are on the 500 minute plan. If you are on the unlimited plan and call a cell phone in one of the free countries you will be billed.
As others have stated all incoming calls are free to you the Vonage users. |
