I've got a VT1005 .
Hadn't used Vonage for a while (ATA hadn't been plugged in or powered up) and about 2 weeks ago I plugged it in, and got the usual stuff with flashing lights, which in the past I'd just got rid of by waiting, power cycling, waiting a bit more, and eventually getting a solid light.
Not this time.
Now my ATA is stuck on a cycle of two slow flashes, then one quick one, then it repeats that forever.
The reason I think it's dead is that it does exactly the same thing whether it's plugged into the router or not, and also the 100Mbps light doesn't come on on the Ethernet socket like it used to (still the same 100Mbps socket on the router).
Anyone else seen this? Does it sound like its fried? If it is is there any way to manually reset the firmware? I'm in the UK now, so sending it back and getting a replacement will be a bit of a **** as it'll have to go via a friend in the US which adds extra cost, time, etc. (yes, I know Vonage don't support you if you're not in the US, but I took the risk).
Thanks for any help/advice. |

S'pose I should also mention that I don't get a dial tone (obviously), and that I can see in my router all the devices that have got IPs via DHCP, and the ATA never takes one and I never see it's MAC in the list of devices connected to the router) |
