6. Setup of Network - Modem---->Vonage Adapter-->PC
7.Steady Yellow Light - No Green Light - cannot make outgoing calls

Let's see if I can keep this as simple as possible...

I've had a Vonage account for the better part of a year now, but while I was gone on a deployment, they disconnected my service, necessitating getting a new number and account. I set all of that up, and then had my cable Internet hooked up today, and it's working like a charm - no problems. I set up my Vonage phone, and all I've been able to get out of it is a steady yellow light where there should be green. I know I can receive incoming calls, because I've gotten them emailed to me already, but when I pick up the handset, it tells me I "may have the phone plugged into the wrong port." I have power cycled, checked and re-checked, run the online tests, still nothing. Frustrating! Is there something I'm missing, or something I can do?

Feel free to email me at carolinafreebird at gmail dot com if I didn't make anything clear in the post. Thanks!

connect Vtech->PC go to IE and type in on the address bar 192.168.15.1

Youll see a Vtech page. username=vtech pass=vtech

under Basic select ISP Connection at the left side. Click the copy button near DHCP Client List. Make sure it is now the same with the MAC address. Select Apply. exit

powercycle Vtech then connect to modem

hope this helps
