Post subject: Fax Machine Use?

i would just switch my phone line over to my fax when i was expecting or sending a fax... well - now with
Vonage
i thought i'd do the same but someone was just trying to send my a fax and the phone rang and range... i disabled voicemail but the phone just rang and rang with no pick up - --
is there something i'm doing wrong? how do i fix this?

yeah but you have to slow down the transmission speed since voice lines are not optimised for voice .. set the baud rate on the fax to 9600 .. a DSL filer would help. if ur using the motorola MTA u have to call and get the packet size changed. If your using the linksys try setting bandwith saver off.

i have the linksys - how do i set the bandwith saver off and how do i change the baud rate on the fax???

How does changing the package size (AND what do I ask the rep/tech to change it to????) affect voice quality?
