Situation:

Caller calls Vonage number. Leaves a message. My phone's VMI lights up, and I get the stutter dial tone.

I call in to retreive my messages. The system tells me I have no new messages. I hang up the phone. The VMI light goes out. No more stutter dial tone.

Messages are occasionally available on the Vonage Dashboard, and will often be accessible through the telephone hours or DAYS later.

What the hell is going on here?!

there have been a ton of posts about voicemail problems both here and at dslreports. the short answer is note the service announcement on the dashboard. unfortunately, the long answer is the same. emailing or calling them is always an option, but I'm not sure if it will get you anywhere.
