Hey everyone,
All right so I'm a little bit confused a few things. Before I ask I want to explain what is set up.
-My house is about 10 years old
-Basement was finished about 5 years ago
-Computers/Networking equipment is in the basement
-Linksys cable modem
-Linksys wrt54g 4 port wireless router
-Linksys wired 4 port router
-Have comcast high speed internet
-Close to the computer area outside is the telephone distribution box, as well as the cable distribution (Wires can be run out there.)
-Phone wiring in the basement is weird. Looked in one plate that has 4 phone jacks, and inside there looks like 12 pair wiring...?? They appear to be cat5e wires.
-In middle floor kitchen the wall jack seems to be a orange/orange white pair
-There are 3 different lines coming in, and only one will be Voip, because two are important business lines, while one is just a home line.
Now for me the goal would be that all of the home lines Voip. I would be doing this myself. Also if I plugged a router into the Voip router would I be able to plug a Voip phone into that?
Thanks, really appreciate the help.

Voip Phone must be plugged into the proper port of the Voip router. The Voip router has a phone line port that the Voip phone must be connected directly to.
My Voip is plugged into the wireless router with phone cord from Voip device to phone jack so entire house is Voip. You have to isolate your home phone lines from the outside lines. This may be difficult as you have more that 1 phone line coming into your home.

G5, you're likely to have some problems with this, because I'm guessing that your wiring isn't standard. (I get this from the fact that your kitchen phone is on a jack with just an orange/orange-white pair). Let's start by trying to figure out what you do have. First, when you say "phone jack", are you talking about standard RJ11 (2 pair, 4 conductor) jacks or the wider RJ45 (4 pair, 8 conductor) jacks? Are they all the same? Are the jacks that service your business lines the same types that service the home lines?

Now, as Kdf55 said, a Voip router or a plain Voip adapter can be plugged into another router. This is done with ethernet cables with RJ45 plugs on either end. The Voip box provides phone service on an RJ11 jack. You can plug an ordinary phone into that, or plug it into house wiring as you're thinking of doing. Also as Kdf55 said, the big caveat is that you must disconnect the lines that you want to use for Voip from external land lines.
