Post subject: Using the D Link VTA on the road...?
HI,
I was wondering if someone might have an answer for the following need.
I wold like to take my VTA on the road and use it while I'm in a hotel room. I will be using an HP Pavilion laptop with wireless capabilities. The HP also has a Ethernet connection.
(Most hotels - I've found don't have a direct plug in for internet -- but only wireless)
I read somewhere on the forums that you can somehow "share" the wirelss connection with the built in ethernet card ---- and then just plug in the VTA and away you go.
I haven't found out how to do this. Does anyone know how to do this and how well it will work?
Thanks in advance for your help.
The laptop uses Windows XP home.

Hi,
Yes, I tried that , but it didn't work. I think there is something that has to be done on the Windows network settings. I'm sure what though. I'll need to research this out.
thanks for your help.
