Are you getting internet service on a computer plugged into the RT31P2? Keep in mind that your ISP should be willing to help you to get a router working. They probably won't want to help with Vonage, but the RT31P2 is a router. Get it working as one and the Vonage connection should come up as well. |

I'm getting the I'net connection thro' the device and no issues with that at all. Only thing is that the Vonage phone isn't working as expected and what I could see his highly unstable. Presently even the phone LED is glowing and 'm getting the ring tone but unable to call any no. And when I called to this no - I'm getting the ringing tone continuously even after piking up the handset. Conditions which triggered my first post. |

I would recommend you call Vonage tech and ask them to increase your off-hook current and gain settings on tthe device; clearly the phone does not recognize when it is off-hook hence the continued ringing; these are settings in your line properties and/or device which you are not able to access |

What kind of phone is it? Have you tried another? |

I changed the modem to Zyxel which I had it as a spare and it all worked fine last night. The voice was damn clear and good.
But just as I thought of relaxing a bit...the gizmo became (in)active again. Now the Phone LED is not glowing from the morning. I left it switched on the whole of last night....could this have caused a prob with the device ? |

I tried with more than 3 diff telephone instruments (one brandnew Panasonic too) but still the same condition. The device works at its convenience
Presently the telephone link is not up and only first 2 LEDs are glowing stable.
BTW, after I changed the Modem, I was able to setup a Linksys router as well as a Sling box - both of which weren't working earlier. Just info.
Any suggestions/help ? |
