I'd really like Vonage to make SimulRing a little smarter. Specfically, when I have my Vonage number Simulring my cell phone, I'd like it to know when I'm calling home from my cell phone and not get stuck in my cell's voice mail.

you'd like for it to know that you're calling from a number that is already set to ring simultaneously... but you have to remember that you have a number of controls at your fingertips. if you have your service set to simulring your cell phone, your cell phone's going to go to voice mail in about 20-25 seconds (you may or may not be able to control that) and you can set how many seconds before your Vonage voice mail will pick up. if you set it for less than that, your cell phone's voice mail will never pick up.... but it will go to your Vonage voice mail. |

I emailed them about a similar issue. I like to use SimulRing from 8am-5pm weekdays. I'd rather my customers not have my direct cellphone number but still be able to reach me during normal business hours. On off hours, this can ring only my office phone or go to VM. Of course, they can't have a programmer take an afternoon and add this feature. |

You should try GrandCentral. |

Wow, thanks for the link. Looks great. I really like the personalized greetings like Verizon has for their cell phones. I just think these features should be offered by Vonage. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for the package. |

Hello. I would like to try Grand Central but it states that you need to be invited by them or a currect tester. Does anyone know when the will allow more people or be in a larger beta?
Thanks! |

GrandCentral (still beta) was open to everyone until they were taken over by Google. They then went into a closed beta. At this point, given how log Google stuff remains in beta, you might be waiting awhile.
Or you can find someone with an invite they are willing to use on you. |
