If anyone can help me. I recieved my adapter last thursday. It is the Linksys RT31P2. It took me 5 hrs to connect to Vonage. 4 days later it wont connect period. I have to put the phone line in port 2 then switch it once the light comes onto port one. then i get a dialtone. Now all i get is either the powerlight blinking for a 1/2 hour or the power light solid but nothing working, It worked 2-3 times now it refuses to work at all. It is connected right to the cable modem. Any suggestions. I have already done factory resets.
Did you unplug the power to all network devices as you were connecting everything? ... Than plug in the power for the cable modem and give it some time to boot up ... Than plug in the power for the linksys router and let it boot up. I had some problems trying to connect devices such as the telephone and my wireless router to the linksys router while any of the devices were already powered on.
Yes I did, i have a motorola surfboard, it takes about 30 seconds for that to come online. About 20 minutes ago i got to make a phone call, but then the router kicked me. When i start up the router i only have the internet and phone cable in it. Then i give that about 5 minutes. If it starts and stays stable with a dial tone, then I hook up the computer to it. That hasn't happened since when i got it 4 days ago. Any other suggestions.
Well, this morning was a breakthrough. I had phone service for about 2 minutes. the pwer light on my linksys device was solid along with the phone and internet. Once it got to 5 minutes the power light started flashing again. Anyone either have this problem or what can I do to get it resolved. Vanage tech support is useless.
