Any ideas what is preventing connection?
1. Location: Jefferson,MD 21755 2. ISP: COMCAST (was Adelphia), Type: Cable 3. Upload 501736 bps; Download 62080 bps 4. Modem make and model: LYNKSYS BEFCMU10 5. Vonage adapter: VTECH IP 8100-1 6. Network Setup: Modem-->LYNKSYS BEFSR41 router-->Vonage Adapter 7. Vonage adapter is no longer connecting to broadband. Have tried to connect adapter directly to modem with no change in status. My setup remains unchanged since Sept 2006 and my cable provider was Adelphia. The only change, COMCAST bought out Adelphia. My cable provider is now COMCAST. 8. There's quite a difference between your two sets of test results. Any known reason for that? Still, neither would explain a total failure of the Vonage device to connect. Do you have a friend with a different ISP who would let you check the device at his/her place? How about firewalls? Anything new there? Did you get a new modem when the ISP changed? |

I don't have any firewalls, and no the modem didn't change. Will have to check and see if there is anyone close by without COMCAST. |
