Post subject: Wireless adapter > bridge connection > VT2442
I'm trying to get my VT2442 to run through my laptop off it's wireless connection. I did this before in XP, but I'm running Vista x64 and don't seem to remember how at this point. It's just a simple bridge of connection between my wireless card and my Ethernet card, with the VT2442 plugged into my laptops Ethernet port using the internet off the wireless signal. The only problem is that when I get it setup everything appears to be working except when I plug in the VT2442 it still says nothings been plugged in. It won't detect it for some reason. The only way it detects it, is if I plug into the router ports on the VT2442 instead of the internet port. It's almost like it will only detect computer devices instead of routers and such. There must be a setting on the VT2442 that will enable it to connect to this type of connection. Any ideas?

A crossover cable fixed the problem. Now the device is trying to access the internet and displaying a red power light. Are there any settings in the admin panel that might enable it to connect?
