Anyone have success playing voicemail on a cell phone

Hi all,
I have a Cingular 8525 with unlimited data. I have configured Vonage voicemail to send an email when I have a VM. I have configured my cell phone to download my email every 10 min.

When I get a VM it is sent to me and eventually downloaded to my phone. When I click the link to listen to the message, I get an error that the CODEC is not supported.

I'm wondering if anyone is having any success doing this?

I get Voice mail attachments (WAV files) all the time and they play fine on the Treo 650 as a VersaMail attachment. You have to have the sound switch toggled on or it will not play out loud. It plays through the external (speaker phone) speaker, not through the ear speaker.

The WAV encoding of the voicemails is not supported by Windows Mobile. You can check-out Voicemail to Windows Mobile as a solution. It will convert the wav from Vonage to either a Wav supported by WM or to WMA (or MMS if you want).
