Post subject: Vonage with DSL and DHCP
Hi
Here is my situation
1 ) One computer and one
Vonage
2 ) The output of the DSL is given in the WAN port of the Motorola VT100
3 ) The IPAddress in the computer is set to get automatically and the when I do an ipconfig I get the following
Windows 98 IP Configuration
0 Ethernet adapter :
IP Address. . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.3
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
4 ) My Connection is like the following diagram
DSL/MODEM -------->
Vonage
Motorola------------> Computer
5 ) I have confirmed with my ISP and PPPoA is enabled in my DSL modem.
But I think
Vonage
is not getting IP or something else is happening because the lights just blink and nothing else happens. also if I give the output of
Vonage
to the input of my computer I am not able to browse or even ping.
Is this something to do with DHCP settings or ip address settings Please Help I am getting really really crazy over this
I have also tried setting up static IP also .
krishna
