Thank you Vonage for finally implementing ACR on my line!

I received the availability announcement and immediately turned it on! It works fine for calls which have their ID blocked but I find there is a class of phone calls originating from "Unknown" numbers which as it turns out are a BIGGER problem than Anonymous calls. Apparently many of the telemarketers are using phone systems with this designation on their lines to avoid the ACR tools. My phone is still ringing off the hook with these "Unknown" callers. I know that "Unknown" calls are not on the Vonage AC Rejection list but they should be!!!

Does anyone know of a solution or do I just have to move to an unlisted number!

Thanks in advance...

I know and feel your pain!

Why is Vonage only blocking "private" callers? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE also block the UNKNOWN callers! They are equally annoying and frustrating as “private” and should not be able to get through.

When Vonage implements there extension to ACB and DND, this will be doable because you should be able to pick the "type" of calls you would like to block. As with any other company (as least this is my opinion), "unknown" calls are not blocked. This is because they may not be deliberately blocking their numbers. Calls where the name lookup failed or int'l calls tend to come up as unknown.

one of my cell phones (and anyone else who uses that same provider) shows up as 'unknown name'.. obviously I want calls from those ppl to come in..

you should be able to set it to block everything, but edit a list of numbers to be "always allowed"..

I'd like to see separately selectable rejection for blocked-ID and unknown origin calls.
