I can't install the UTStarcom to my laptop through my Belking G router. It recognizes the network, but when I put in the WEP code, I get illegal entry. Called customer service, but no help at all.
Can't install with my Belkin Router and laptop with wireless phone |

Please provide what is the exact error message if u use the above mentioned device and getting message no service Try another AP.
You need to log in to the router and change the Wireless Mode from the current setting to LRS.

The router is F5D7230-4. The security for Belkin is WPA not WEP as I first thought. That seems to be worse as the phone only allows 6 numerical digits for the WPA code and mine is a mixture of numbers and letters much longer than that. I am not sure how to access the router to change settings. It does not show up in my group of programs. |

Find the routers ip address and enter that in the address line of IE. I believe the username is "admin" and leave the password blank. |

-Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser.
-By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.2.1.
-Log in with the password. If you have not yet set a custom password, then leave the password field blank & click "Submit"
-Click "Encryption " under "Wireless" option
-You can modify the Encryption type |

Hi, thank you for the help. I did find the Belkin utility in my Program files. I was looking in programs and hardware. My biggest concern about changing the Encryption type is that I work on this computer and must have a very secure line. That is the reason for the WPA. If I can't connect with that intact, I can't use it. |
