I use my Vonage line to call France. Up until about six weeks ago it was great-- but now, a little more than 50% of the time I get the following message: "Lines Temporarily Busy, PLease Try Again Later"
Sadly, when I call from my home line (or cell phone) I get right through 100% of the time.
Looks like Vonage is cutting corners and calls will get droipped-- I'm having second thoughts about them and would not use it in lieu of a real phone.
Has anyone had a similar experience? |

I get that sometimes making local calls during high usage times of day, and often on weekends. I believe it has to do with the interface with wired lines. Only so many connections are set up by other providers and sometimes a connection is simply not available. It isn't a Vonage problem directly, but a function of the wired companies having limited interface available. |

I get this problem occasionally but I am using another companies softphone with a ppc (ipaq rx1955), when I use the Vonage softphone on my laptop I can call out. The softphone offered by Vonage unfortunately does not work with Windows Mobile 5.0 but that is another issue entirely. |
