I have been on hold with Vonage for 3 hours and 22 min. I tried last nite and was on hold for 2 hours and 42 min. I picked up my cell phone and called and it was answered in 2 min...What's up with this?

I have no idea but you must be the most patient person in the world. I'm done after 15 min with any sort of tech or customer service call to any company. I don't know how you can stay on hold for 3 hours+.

Did you choose the same options on their message both times when you called? If you did, then I really have no explanation for it other then dumb luck/system glitch. Also, as tglea said 3+ hours on hold is ridiculous for calling any kind of support. I hope then when you called from your cell and finally got a representative you had your problem resolved.

I just put the call on speaker and did what I usually do. I did get the person that answered my cell phone to call me on my Vonage phone . Actually though, I did not get the issue resolved although I was assured that it was, they lied to me again. That is why I had to call back tonite. I have only been a customer for a little over thirty days and I have been on the phone trying to get support from Vonage more than I have used it to talk to anyone I really want to talk to. I have been happy with the quality of sound and the options, but I don't know if that outways the trouble that I have been having for the last thirty days. I truly wished I had never heard of Vonage at this time.

You should post your problem on here, maybe one of us can give you some guidance.

I must get lucky when I call, usually says call will be answered in 3 minutes and it gets picked up right away.

For what it's worth, I don't know if you were speaking to the holmdel tech support staff, but if so, they don't "lie" to you, per se. What happens is, nobody ever wants to hear that something other than their Vonage service MAY be responsible for whatever audio/service issues you may be experiencing. Sometimes Vonage is at fault, most times they're not.

That being said, what was the issue you were calling in about? There's a lot of very knowledgable people here, maybe we can help.
