I just tried the click to call, I never had it installed before and it worked. I don't use Outlook, so I guess the only way to get the phone number in this is to actually type it in, which is no faster then using the phone or am I missing something here?

Roscopco, what makes the Click-2-Call feature convenient is the ability to select or highlite a phone number with your mouse from any webpage, a number from your contact list or anywhere on your computer, then press the F6 key on your keyboard and the number is dialed for you. Your Vonage phone will ring first, when you pick it up it rings the number you clicked to call...How convenient is that.

On the outbound call what number is displayed on the caller ID? Is it your Vonage number?

When your Vonage line rings, the Click-2-Call number is displayed on your caller ID. It actually appears on my caller ID in this format: C2C-xxxxxxx

What about the party you are calling?

What I am hoping to do is enable SimulRing to ring my cellphone and then ring the other party. I am hoping that the other party sees my Vonage number on the caller ID.

Hope I am explaining this properly.

Your Vonage caller ID, i.e. your Voange phone number is displayed to the party you clicked to call. I haven't tried it with SimulRing enabled on my cell at the same time I've used Click-2-Call.

That is what I was hoping. I need this so I can call folks from my cell without them getting my cell number via caller ID. Anyone tried it with SimulRing?

Click-2-call never worked with simulring, and that is as intended. You must answer the call on a phone connected to the Vonage device or the click-2-call dialout will not proceed and you will just get dead air. This makes sense if you think about it, as you could basically give your cell phone unilimted long distance on Vonage's dime by creative use of click-2-call.

Well here is 2 features I have never used....until today.

I clicked 2 call my soft phone to dial my Vonage phone which I had simulring my cell phone and both my home phone rang and also my cell phone. On my cell phone my soft phone number came up, and also with my Vonage line.

I never answered my cell phone because the call was long distance (cell phone and Vonage phone different area codes).

Was interesting to see that Vonage is working on click 2 call. I just installed the Vonage system today and set up the click to call in Outlook, it sure enough dials the phone, BUT....

What is of real value to me is that Outlook makes "activities" automatically if you have it dial numbers,,,,,you know, the old right click,,,,,make a call..thing. When I use the blue and white arrow thingy, it dials but does not bring up the journal entry window, etc, that I can use to record notes about the call.......

Is this what they are fixing?
