When I pick up the phone I get the stutter tone indicating I have a voicemail message, although I deleted all messages online from both my inbox and trash. The phone (dial in number) indicates I still have 1 deleted message which I cannot access. How do you turn the stutter tone (voicemail message indicator) off or will this clear itself in 24 hours (the time Vonage FAQs indicates a deleted message will vanish)? |

have you seen the "voicemail is screwed up" message in the dashboard? Or has this been going on since before that? |

Gordg3, I am experiencing the same (constant stutter dialtone). My voicemail problems keep changing. 1st I wasn't getting the stutter tone when I received a message. Then I could pickup voicemail from everything (email, web) but not via phone. Now a constant stutter ..... hope things improve. |

Mine cleared up after a little more than 24 hours. The deleted message stuck in Vonage's cache was apparently dumped and my dial tone went back to normal. I waited 45 minutes on the phone for tech support to ask them to reset my phone. The person that finally answered and indicated he could not help and would transfer me to "tier 2" tech support. When he transferred me I got a recored message that they were experiencing a heavy call volume and to call back later. Anyhow it is back to normal. The problem in my case is having a "real number" which I have been trying for 2 months to get transferred from AT&T and a virtual temp. number. A call to the temp number (voicemail) apparently cannot be deleted (even though I deleted from the website). |

Interesting. I am also back to 'normal'. I to have a virtual number awaiting my old 'real' number to xfer (Roadrunner). Wow I can only guess as to how I would have reacted if I had been on the phone that long and had that happen to me. It did take me 45 minutes to reach a real person the last time I called but they took all my info and actually called me back to get more info later. This was on a different problem I was having (no voicemail). I wonder what the incentive is for AT&T and Roadrunner to hurry up and xfer numbers. They keep getting paid as long as they hold out. |

Glad your dial tone is back to normal. I am just about ready to give up on the number transfer. I am getting tired of paying two phone bills. |
