I would think there is something wrong with your V-Phone and it should be replaced.
I have
Vonage
Talk, but I can't get connected today. With
Vonage
Talk you can only call someone who is on your contact list and they have to be online to call them.

the vphone can be factory reset, using the following instructions:
1. Download v-phone software from
http://httpconfig.vonage.net/XYZ
where XYZ is the name of current V-phone software . Save it to C:/ and name it update.exe
(To my knowledge, the latest file is usb-update-2007-01-22-000001.exe)
2. Open command prompt, if not at C:\ drive by default type: "cd C:\" in order to get there
3. Run the command:: "update.exe /TARGETDIR=f:\Vonage" where update.exe is the v-phone file and F is the letter of the REMOVEABLE drive not the V-phone Icon
4. Hit enter and the V-phone will upgrade.
This should replace all the software on the v-phone with nice fresh stuff. Good luck!
