Hiya,
I've now had a technical problem with Vonage for 4 months.
Whenever I make any outgoing calls :-
Internationally I get dead air all of the time (not even ringing) Domestic I get dead air 3/4 of the time
Having had this ticket open with Vonage for 4 months I am just curious to see if anyone else has such a problem?
Vonage just keep not calling me back, diverting me to different departments, not answering emails, and giving me the same set of questions EVERY time i call (about 23 so far).
I don't think 4 months is an acceptable time for an outage

Mitch, you're right, 4 months is unacceptable. I don't know what you can do about it though. You could cancel your contract but then you've got the problem of losing your numbers.
I had the same problem with Vonage support over poor quality. It never got resolved and now I don't use them for outgoing calls; only incoming that get diverted to a BT line. I'd leave Vonage if I hadn't notified everyone of the new numbers.

Well after some research I've taken some alternative methods:-
I contacted them and asked for my account details under the Data Protection Act which they refused to give me (So I called up the Data Protection Commissioner) so they will have him on their backs.
I contacted Otello (their ombusdman) and they are investigating the issue now.
I contacted ofcom and they are investigating the issue.
I'm hoping this will get somewhere, failing that then its off to small claims court.
My point isn't to get revenge its just to give them enough trouble that they actually fix the problems rather than screwing me around every time I call up. |
