yes we are too.....905 area code, can't make any outgoing calls right now. Any idea what's up?

Calls to 613 go through, calls to 819 get "Lines temporarily busy"

I suspect this is connected to the free international calling everywhere on Skype today overloading everything?

Having same problem here. But I'm at the end of my rope with Vonage Canada. Problem all this week. From picking up phone and getting no dial tone, to calling someone and I can hear them and they can't hear me then flips so now they can hear me but I can't hear them!

Since we got this service back in 7Dec06, there has been nothing but problems almost all the time. Sure, we'd sometimes go a whole week where everything worked, but then the main problem would show its ugly head again, where we pick up the phone and no dial tone. However, this one we can live with since it just take either rebooting the router (not the best choice) to simply calling the house number with the Cell. That would get the router talking to the server again.

But this last week has had a major impact on service. Sure, the support people provided a 1/2 month credit, but I'd rather pay the full month for full service.

This is NOT a 3rd world country. We should not have 3rd world service! Mad

Come on Vonage, please get your act together. If not, as of tomorrow, I'm going to seek out some other phone service that's more reliable. AND I will be hitting the internet, email and friends suggesting to them that they DO NOT SIGN UP WITH Vonage!

Please enter me as an UNHAPPY customer!!!

On the positive side though, the technical support line does have some of the nicest, polite and courteous people around. I was with Rogers before this (not by choice) and their techs and customer service people where so unbelievably rude it was ridiculous. That was THE major reason for dumping Rogers home phone service and joining Vonage. Sad

Sorry, forgot to mention, YOU CAN GET THROUGH TO SUPPORT BY USING YOUR CELL PHONE IF YOU LIKE. That does work. I talked to someone there tonight and they are aware of the problem and are working on it. HOWEVER, there is NO mention of the problem on the "Dashboard", on the right under "Service Announcements".

I live in Welland and am experiencing the same thing.(lines are temp busy) Outage for me has been since 7pm. I am unable to make outgoing calls but can receive incoming. I wasn't able to contact Vonage tech support but was able to get through on the customer service line and ask them to transfer me to tech support.

I was told the outage shouldn't last more than an hour...but I won't hold my breath Wink

I had the same problem been 3 days i call call call again after 10 times or so, goes OK!

But as for the router or maybe the Dlink VT if you have that, just a small tip, put it horizontal not flat on the table.
It will do the Job Wink

coz it has to breath, this happens because it gets HOT, or you need to reset it ( Power cycle it ) remove electrical cord wait 5 sec, not like they tell you 30 seconds or 1 min. That's rediculous Smile

I wish i was working there so that show them what cx service means.

But i am happy with my Company Very Happy

Sunday was Mother's Day which is the busiest day for phone calls.

I made a few phone calls on Sunday without a problem. Too bad you never had Skype they were giving free calls to anywhere in the world on Sunday.
