Post subject: How about a V-Fax Incoming Fax Service?
Vonage
has just added several new features including V-Fax allowing you to send faxes directly from your PC. How about adding a V-Fax Incoming Fax Service.
Vonage
could set up a centralized fax number where incoming faxes are received, converted to files (like .PDFs) and then sent to you via e-mail.
Vonage
could charge a nominal fee for this service.
The incoming process could be easily automated and they could use the voice telephone number listed on the fax to identify who to e-mail the fax to. They could also provide the option of sending an e-mail notification which could be sent to your cell phone to let you know a fax is waiting.
This would be especially useful for people who are traveling who wouldn't have easy access to a fax machine to receive faxes. I think this service would greatly compliment the current V-Fax service.
