As the subject says, my Vonage router will no longer accept incoming calls - they are forwarded directly to voicemail. Outgoing calls are fine. I have not changed anything on my network at all, and my cable internet connection is stable.

I have a Linksys WRTP54G as the Voip gateway and it has been working fine for 1.5 years. However, I did notice yesterday that I had no dial tone for the first time ever, so I reset the WRTP54G, and the dial tone came back.

Location - Colorado
ISP - Comcast Cable
Speed - Tested to 4Mbps download, 400Kbps upload
Vonage adapter - Linksys WRTP54G
Network setup: Cable modem<-->Netgear router<-->WRTP54G (no changes in last 1.5 years)

Similar setup... comcast isp linksys 54G wireless router. VT1005 adapter, Suddenly i cannot get cell phone calls incoming... the person calling says it just rings.. Sometimes I get a 4 min long dead voicemail message. allother calls in and out work fine.

Anyone have any clues?

Unfortunately, this sounds like an issue that will have to be worked through customer service. I doubt if anything can be done with the home setups to fix it.

I had the same problem earlier this week. Spent a fair bit of time on the phone with tech support on another line, and by calling my Vonage line they experienced the problem. They opened a ticket, said the problem would be fixed within 24-48 hours and I never heard back. I am pleased to report, however, that the problem stopped on its own about 2 hours after calling them--after persisting for about 12 hours. Perhaps Vonage fixed something, but I would have at least expected some notification (as I have received in the past with problems).

Smile Well the same happened to me last night. I did nothing yet I got a call from someone using a cell phone and that worked fine. So who knows. I am naively assuming Wink everything is now working Wink thanks for the feedback tho.
