I have a punch down block where all of my cat 5e cables come into. When I was on the POTS there was (1) pair that wove it's way through and then connected to the POTS, this made all my jacks live. as soon as I switched to Vonage this no longer worked, now I am only able to use (1) jack. Currently I have a cordless with a base and remote handset, but I would like to use more jacks. Is there a recommended punch down block I should use or another way of connecting all of my lines?
Thanks |

Because it was easy in the application I was using it in, I took a length of phone cable, clipped one end and bared the wires, and connected it, essentially making it the "POTS". I was able to locate all of my networking gear there, including the Vonage adapter. There are other ways, some may be easier, and I'm sure you'll get replies. |

I've had my PAP2 working with a punch down block since day-one with Vonage.
Make sure you've severed the line to the old POTS system (either cut their wire going into the punch-down or pull it out of the block completely).
I just plugged the ATA into one of the feeds from the punch down block as if it was a phone (right after I pulled the POTS wire out of my block). |
