I am wondering if there is visual call waiting. I looked on Vonage site and couldn't find it. I do understand that your phone has to have this feature also for it to work. |

What do you mean by visual call waiting, I have never heard that before? Do you mean call waiting caller ID? If that is what you mean, then yes, that is a service Vonage offers. |

Yes, when you are on the phone and you get the beep, you can look at the call display and see who is on the other line, call waiting visual display. |

by "visual call waiting," I would guess that means voice mail visual indicator. That is when the line indicator on the Vonage converter box changes color from green to amber. |

It says it right on the page for call waiting on their site. They have had this feature since they started the service. I believe this SAME questions was also asked by you and answered 1 month ago here: http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic19092.html The name for it is "Call waiting caller id", not visual call waiting by the way. |

You are correct I did ask this before, but where on the site does it say anything about Call waiting caller id?
I have searched other Voip companies and they have it listed as Visual call waiting. |

"And of course, Call Waiting works best with Caller ID With Name."
I have never heard it called "Visal call waiting", but from what I remember you are in Canada, maybe it is called that there? It is definitely called "Call waiting caller ID" in the US by every carrier that I have ever seen. I think this was also established in the last thread you posted on this same issue. |

Call tech support and ask them to rollback the firmware. I called in about this with my 2542 a week or two ago, they said my device has new firmware from 2007, and they put a 2006 version on it, and it works fine. |

Thanks for the link, but this site won't allow an outside link to work. There actually is not topic by itself on this subject, but it is buried in the call waiting section.
Vonage Caller ID with Name also works with Vonage Call Waiting. Let's say you're already on a call when someone else tries to call you. If, upon seeing the new caller's name and number, you choose not to pick up the call it automatically bounces out to your Voicemail Plus. From there you'll instantly receive a notification email with an accompanying .wav file containing the caller's spoken message. |
