Post subject: Try out Anonymous Call Block & Do Not Disturb
Vonage Forum Members,
We know that many of you on this forum have been looking forward to Vonage releasing Anonymous Call Blocking and Do Not Disturb. We are planning on officially launching these services in the near future, but would like to give the members of Vonage-Forum.com an advance look at these features.
So, what do you need to do? Not a thing, you can try both ACB and DND with your current Vonage phone line right now (US & Canada only) .
Simply dial *77 from your Vonage phone to turn on “Anonymous Call Block,” *87 to turn it off.
Simply dial *78 from your Vonage phone to turn on “Do Not Disturb,” *79 to turn it off.
I hope you like these features and stay tuned as we continue to launch new features and services.

Is one of the soon to be released features going to be selective call blocking where you enter a specific number to be blocked?

Hey thanks for the tip! I am doing a spread sheet for Voip products to see who has the best features and also the best prices, now I can add these to the feature lists.

YAHOO! It totally works! I can't thank you ENOUGH for these features.
I tested ACB and it went directly to a message saying the person being called is not accepting blocked calls, and to call back with the number unblocked.
If I may make a suggestion though. Perhaps there might be a way to dictate if the caller should get a message, or should just go to voicemail.
Then I tested DND both with and without Vonage Voicemail enabled. WITH voicemail enabled, the call went right through to my voicemail. WITHOUT, it went to a recording saying the person being called is not accepting calls at this time.
Overall I am VERY impressed with it! I hope you guys "officially" unveil it SOON, because it works like a charm. (At least for me.)

It does appear as if this works. Dialed *77 from my phone and I received a message telling me that ACB was enabled and received the instructions on how to disable.

What's interesting is that with both ACR *AND* DND enabled, calls goto voicemail. In other words, with both enabled, someone anonymous could still get to voicemail (if voicemail is enabled).

Thanks for your further testing and letting us know that!
I only tested each feature separately of one another and not together.
