For the understanding of everyone, here's how the ACR works:
1. Notice that in your call logs there are two lines: the first line will be for the number and the second line will be for the caller id name.
2. Calls are filtered based on what appears on the caller id name line.
3. These are the calls currently filtered:
a. anonymous
b. private
c. private name
d.private number
e. withheld
4. If the caller id name is not one of the above like "unknown", the call will not be filtered.

Gee thanks for the clarification, since you used my post as a lesson, but you cannot read because it stated the call came in as private caller on some phones and blocked calls on others, so your filtered list is what my phone read yet the call still came through. Care to correct me again? No where in my post did I state the call was unknown, the number was 10 dashes --- --- ----.

Post subject: I think I've seen "RESTRICTED" on a call with bloc
If the blocking is being done based on strings which callers / callers' systems send when the callers configure their service to not send out Caller*ID information, then it may be necessary to also block "RESTRICTED" which I think showed up on an inbound crap call to me recently. Anyone else seen "RESTRICTED" show up as the calling party's "name" ?

Post subject: ACB doesn't seem to work for me
I've tried 3 times using 2 different cell phones (both Verizon Wireless). The call still goes through and my caller ID box says "Private Call". This is what the box displays regardless of how it was received by
Vonage
. What's weird though is the calls don't show up my call log. Does the type of adapter being used have anything to do with it? I'm using an RT31P2 just as an adapter-there isn't anything in the router ports.

I, too, have recently noticed "RESTRICTED" show up on my Caller ID. I just ignore it and it goes to voice mail, without a message usually being left.

I have also tried using my VZW cell phones and I get right through. After speaking with someone from the Executive Response Team it seems just because OUR phones show the correct readout of what should be blocked, it isn't the same info that goes into
Vonage
, therefore the call passes right through. They definitely can't block VZW ID blocked calls, but he says they are constantly tweaking the system, so maybe some day it will work all of the time.

It still isn't working right because I tried it from a Verizon POTS line and it rang through saying blocked call. I guess I'll have to send them an email.

ACR works now. I never got around to contacting
Vonage
, but I tried it from my cell phone and I got the message. I'm happy.
