I have just about had it with Vonage. If it weren't for a free 6 month promo that I won, I would have been gone long ago. My problem today is: Compatability issues with an HP officejet 6110xi. I am receiving all sorts of ridiculous error messages including paper too narrow. Ever since I was required to change numerous settings in the officejet I have had nothing but problems using it to fax, copy, and scan. Does anyone have any suggestions other than flush the D Link VWR and Vonage down the toilet? |

this is the most helpful thing you could read. ECM off, MODEM SPEED 9600, it explains how to do it on HP machines.

Paper too narrow, problems scanning and copying? Are you 100% sure that this is caused by Vonage and not the signs of a possible defect in your fax machine? Especially the copying and scanning part makes it sound like a bad fax machine since they don't use your phone at all, unless Vonage had you change something that you shouldn't have(really not too likely, nothing should make it stop scanning/copying). Have you used or tested this fax machine on a standard PSTN line? Have you tried doing a factory reset on the fax? If so, do the problems with scanning and copying go away? Not saying it is definitely not a Vonage issue, but just giving my initial thoughts with the little bit of info you provided. Post more information on your setup and the info in the general forum sticky and we will be able to make a better determination on what may be happening. |
