I checked out the system before I left home to make sure everything was working properly. I was able to access the internet, receive and place calls with no problem. I moved to St. Martin and I know others here have Vonage and it works for them. I do not have a modem, I plug directly into the wall from my computer using an ethernet cable for the LAN. I have tried everything under the sun to get this to work: reboot, unplug, check plugs and setting up the PPPoE IP address as the manual suggests. I have searched the forums and couldn't find an explanation. I called Vonage tech support and that was a joke. Pablo was just reading from a manual. The internet, wirless, and ethernet lights remain on but the power light blinks. I am able to get a good wireless connection with it, but no luck on the internet. Any ideas? Thanks.

I am very confused as to what you have tried and what you want
at one point you said you have no modem then you said you set the pppoe.

Let me know the following

Are you using cable or dsl?
Do you know if you have a static ip or not?
which Vonage box do you have?
are you trying to setup your pc or your Vonage device or both?

I am using DSL and have the VWR-VD D-Link Vonage device. I don't know about a static IP. I don't know what that is. I'm trying to set up my Vonage device with my computer. I'm running my internet cable to the VWR and then running the ethernet cable to the computer. It's just not working for me. I cannot access the internet at all.

how about if you remove the Vonage device and plug your pc onto the dsl modem, does the internet work?
what do you have to do to get it to work, do you have to set an ip ?
do you have to use username and password?

or does it work just by pluggin in?

When I have my computer hooked up directly I am prompted by my internet service to enter my username and password. After that I am able to click the "access the internet" link where it opens to my homepage.

When I open my browser it goes directly to isurfcentral.net. It is on that page that I enter my username and password. I looked at their homepage but couldn't find anything myself. Perhaps you can. Thanks.

I finally got a response from Vonage tech support via e-mail and finally got it working. I hit the reset button on the back and held it for 45 seconds then hooked everything back up. Now the internet and phone works. However, now people on the other end complain of a broken transmission whenever I'm talking to them. So I'll see what I can do about that. Thanks for the help.
